The most direct challenge comes toward the end of the program, (starting at 8:47 on Video 3), after Hoekstra admits he was thoroughly briefed on CIA’s “enhanced interrogation techniques,” adding that his former staffers have just told him “90 percent of the material in the Senate report on CIA torture was known to his committee.

Oops! For Ray, that was a red flag.  He decided to act the part of the bull in decoding the bullexcrement and, more important, the gross misfeasance by Hoekstra, one of the few officials who would have been able to stop the torture program.
Hat tip to VIPSer Larry Johnson, who had called Ray’s attention to the time sequence involving Abu Zubaydah, noting how non-time-urgent his abuse by CIA interrogators was.

Irony: While few Americans will see this program, CCTV says a billion Chinese-speakers normally watch the dubbed-into-Mandarin version of this regular program.  Even if the actual number is only half that, ....

For Ray, the unique opportunity to confront Hoekstra ranks right up there with his four-minute impromptu debate with Donald Rumsfeld on May 4, 2006.
