torture. The film has been very well received at Johns Hopkins

and a psychology conference in Boston, and now will be screened in New
York.

As Deborah Popowski of the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School
says in the trailer, "From everything we've seen about how this policy
of torture was designed and implemented, health professionals were a
critical cog in the wheel, and if you were to take the health
professionals out, the system as we know it would have come to a
grinding halt."

Martha Davis's film is a primer on why activism against health
professionals' participation in interrogations is so key to
dismantling the torture state that still haunts us.
