Description

General David Petraeus, Commander of the US Central Command, will be addressing this event of the World Affairs Council.  Petraeus is known for working with Robert Gates to develop the deeply hated "troop surge" in Iraq. In early May, air strikes killed 140 civilians, by far the single deadliest incident since the invasion of 2001 under the command of Petraeus.  General Petraeus insisted the military had video evidence that proved the strikes were aimed at the Taliban  and promised to release it soon. The video was never released. Petreaus is inarguably guilty of committing war crimes by carrying out a war of aggression and targeting civilians.
