Description

After last year's well attended Groupa Palooza event, local Tea Partiers are rallying the troops for round two. Billed as Conservative Groupa Palooza, the Sequel, this year's event features a speech by U.C. Berkeley law professor John Yoo, made infamous for his position on scotching the Geneva Convention when dealing with terrorists. Yoo was the so-called architect for President Bush's controversial program of "enhanced" interrogation techniques, including waterboarding.

Sally Zelikovsky Civil rights activist Ward Connerly, known for his efforts behind getting rid of affirmative action and Thomas Lifson, a conservative blogger, round out the speakers list. Various political candidates will also address the attendees, and so far, more than 40 different political organizations have signed up. Bay Area Patriots which is run by Marin conservative Sally Zelikovsky (at left), is sponsoring the event.  Groupa Sequel will be held at the Mill Valley Community Center (a popular place for Tea Party events!) on You must pre-register to attend and you can sign up online here.
