The first of a three-part series co-sponsored by War Criminals Watch, Brooklyn for Peace, the Brooklyn Law School and New York City chapters of the National Lawyers Guild and the Brooklyn Law School International Law Society: The Framework of International Law- History, Mechanisms & Enforcement (Background on the development of the concepts of International Law: Precursors, the UN Charter, Geneva Convention, Nuremberg Principles, Universal Jurisdiction, ICC, Definitions of War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Genocide).

Confirmed presenters are:

Jeanne Mirer, co-chair of the International Association of Democractic Lawyers andmember, National Lawyers'Guild's International Committee.

Peter Weiss, Vice President, Center for Constitutional Rights

The second session, on Oct. 19th, is The Evidence that US Elected Officials, Employees & Contractors Have Broken& Continue to Break International Law.

Cathy Gallagher, Center for Constitutional Rights attorney

 

The third session, on Nov. 9th, is Options for Strengthening Accountability& Justice -Organizing Strategies.

Pam Spiess, Center for Constitutional Rights attorney
