Gathering as a People of Light and Hope: Casting Out The Darkness of Torture and Guantanamo Forever:  An Interfaith Service of Song, Prayer, Light and Public Commitment

The principal speaker will be Gitanjali Gutierrez, Staff Attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights and the first lawyer to visit a Guantanamo captive. She is a powerful and passionate speaker.

Rabbi Simkha Weintraub - Rabbinic Director of the Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services, Founding Board Member of Rabbis for Human Rights - North America

Sensei T.K. Nakagaki - New York Buddhist Temple

The location is near the 4,5, and 6 Lexington Subway lines at the 86th Street stop. From the station, walk one block west to Park Avenue and 2 blocks south to 84th street.
