Torture is a critical issue of our time. The depiction of coercive, violent, interrogation tactics in popular television programs including “24,” or in the movies, such as “Zero Dark” Thirty, have spurred debate over whether torture can be used or justified.
This is not a debate we should be having. Torture is never justifiable.
Interfaith Action for Human Rights, a Mid-Atlantic Affiliate of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (www.nrcat.org) is hosting the presentation.
We will also show a short film produced by NRCAT, “Ending U.S. Sponsored Torture Forever.” Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact
