"A biennial lecture series to be held in the spring after each Federal election, a tour de horizon by a noted retired senior career U.S. Foreign Service Officer on the challenges facing American diplomacy concerning issues, prospects, and prognostications in U.S foreign policy over the following two years for the newly-elected President, or the off-year Congress. A continuing series of Crisis and Issue Briefings will be offered between each flagship Distinguished Diplomat lecture."
