DescriptionFordham Law School in conjunction with Georgetown Law School presents: The Zero Dark Thirty controversy: Torture, Art, and Politics in today's world Join us for a discussion featuring New Yorker staff writer Jane Mayer; former FBI agent and author Ali Soufan; and New York Magazine's chief film critic David Edelstein. Moderated by Center on National Security Director Karen J. Greenberg. Since the release of the award-winning Zero Dark Thirty, many critics, including several U.S. Senators, have condemned the film, claiming it contains serious historical inaccuracies and glorifies some of the country's worst post 9-11 abuses. In response, Fordham Law School and Georgetown Law School have joined forces to have a public dialogue about the relationship and responsibility that prominent works of culture have to the historical narrative and the American public. Details about the companion Georgetown Law event in D.C. will follow. Seating is limited. To RSVP for the Fordham Law event, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
