If you believe Trump is so isolationist that he wouldn't use the tremendous military force he controls to attack, invade, occupy, change regimes or worse, you've been bamboozled. This is the guy who used the "mother of all bombs" and wants to know "if we have nukes, why can't we use them?"
Trump made Mike Pompeo Secretary of Defense. Last week Pompeo said, “The regime in Tehran should understand that any attacks by them or their proxies of any identity against U.S. interests or citizens will be answered with a swift and decisive U.S. response.” John Bolton, appointed National Security Advisor, is updating the military plan for sending 120,000 U.S. troops "to the Middle East should Iran attack American forces or accelerate work on nuclear weapons."
The threats are one-sided, with the U.S. threatening Iran. See Who Is Actually Threatening Who in the Iran-U.S. Conflict? Six Basic Realities the U.S. Media Downplay, Obscures, or Lies About.
There should be mass protest, everywhere, as the U.S. Trump/Pence regime threatens Iran, the whole Korean peninsula, and Venezuela.
Imagine if Pompeo were tried for war crimes!
Today, RefuseFascism.org posted, When is Enough, Enough?, highlighting that the Trump/Pence regime is "ominously heightening the danger of war, Trump escalated his military and economic threats and provocations against Iran—while also heightening tensions with China, North Korea and Venezuela. While each of these conflicts predate Trump, in the Trump/Pence regime’s fascist 'America First' approach to the world, the danger of even more devastating war looms as the Trump/Pence regime shatters previous international agreements, and moves to aggressively set new terms as a bully unrestrained."
