Borders? Theirs and "ours." To those who run this country, or aspire to run it, "their" borders don't matter. Countries can be invaded and surveilled with impunity, or bullied. The sacred borders of the United States, on the other hand, are inviolate! How dare "they" come here? And if they do, let's police "their" neighborhoods, and spy on their children.

All of this has people thinking like "Americans" — rather than thinking about humanity. I am sharing this image as food for thought, and action. Who made the borders? Genocide of the original inhabitants; expansion of slavery; the Louisiana Purchase; lands grabs from Mexico — all of these made "America" what it is today.
