Barack Obama was in New York City last night to deliver a speech to several hundred Democrat donors. One woman who attended decided to use the fundraising event to offer the President one unsolicited piece of advice.
The speech was perusing recent foreign policy achievements by the United States, as Obama declared, "We ended torture, we promoted human rights" and, in an odd juxtaposition, "We made it clear that America is a Pacific power." However, no sooner had Obama announced that that the United States "was leading again by the power of our moral example," a woman found her moment to interject.
"Use your leadership," the woman yelled from the audience. "No war with Iran!"
She said it once again, louder, and Obama responded, "Nobody's announced a war, young lady. But we appreciate your sentiment." With a slight smile, he added, "You're jumping the gun a little bit."

Tensions continue to mount between over Iran as Israel pushes harder for the Obama administration to more fully back their threats of force against the Iran for its pursuit of nuclear technologies. Israeli Prime Minister Bib Netanyahu will be in the United States next week for the AIPAC conference, and Obama will also speak to the group over the weekend. Negotiations for talks between the 6 major powers (the US, UK, China, Russia, France, and Germany) are ongoing over Iran, with both Brazil and Turkey playing key roles to help establish a framework for moving forward without military confrontation.
